"You can't beat this location if you want to wander around Galena and the riverfront! Everything felt clean, safe and we had everything we needed, if in a bit of strange and old-world set up! This is an old building with lots of "charm", but as long as you are prepared for that you'll have a lovely stay. "

"For our family of four, it was a good amount of space. I loved all personal touches and eclectic decor. The location was close to town, but you do have to cross highway 20 to get to town and the traffic is crazy. The beds were comfortable. I enjoyed the maple room. My daughter stayed in the other room and said it was cold. We propped open the door all day before the next night and that helped. I liked all the coffee and tea options but couldn't find coffee cups. The other thing, there is a lot of noise from the highway and train tracks. We did find it a bit disturbing through the night. Overall we enjoyed our stay though and we all liked the uniqueness of the property. "

"The breakfasts were phenominal with the french toast croissant simply to die for. The rooms were very comfortable and the location was within easy walking distance of the main street with shops and restaurants. "

"We stayed for a long weekend. The apartment was a great location for walking around Galena. Dedicated parking is just a block away, which was plenty close. The check in/out process was very easy. The bed is very comfy. The water pressure in the shower is awesomely powerful! The only slight negative is that it's a little loud with the morning activity of street cleaners and garbage trucks if you are a light sleeper (but not too loud if you are a sound sleeper). I would book this place again. "

"Really a perfect stay! Clean, well-appointed, and very comfortable. The ability to walk outside onto Main St. was fantastic and made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. We got amazing empanadas at the Galena Bakehouse just one block away, a coffee shop practically a step out the Main St. door, and it was nice to simply walk back after dinner. Location was everything. Host was communicative and thoughtful. Very attentive about how to work the door code device, but we didn't have any trouble. Comfy beds, easy stay. If you're interested but unsure, definitely check this stay out. You won't regret it. "
