"We had a wonderful stay at The Alfriston Hotel. The room is lovely and the setting within beautiful Alfriston village is delightful. There is a relaxed vibe about the whole place, with people relaxing on the patio and children playing croquet. We had a lovely time. A bit of a shame that the place is let down by the Brasserie - we had lunch there and the food was not good. But the breakfast was great, and everyone was friendly and helpful."

"This was a last minute booking and I have to say I got very lucky. I didn't arrive until late which was unfortunate as I didn't get to sample the food which I could see looked amazing for those that were more fortunate. I booked a single room but got upgraded to a beautiful double room, The team on site were amazing and very friendly and helpful. My only wish would have been for breakfast to be served a little earlier than 8:00am. Would definitely go back."

"Excellent stay ,staff and service was really friendly and professional. Unfortunately visited on the hottest weekend, thus far and rooms were very hot as no air -con; but had a very substantial fan to help with the situation.. Also helped having real quality cotton sheets and bedding, a must in my opinion. Would happily return."

"It was a quaint building, the rooms were of a good size, very clean, with a tv & everything you could want, plenty of tea & coffee etc, with extras if needed, our bathroom was across a very small corridor, but it was just ours & they supply robes for you to use. Nicky & Philip were great hosts & accommodated us arriving a bit earlier, which was much appreciated. Breakfast was fantastic, a big table laden with fruit, homemade muesli, yogurt, local, honey & pastries & then a choice of what you want from a full English, it was all delicious. It was perfect for our one night stay"
