"Very friendly and helpful staff, all staff members were very attentive and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The selection of available drinks, especially real ales was extensive. Real ales in particular were very well kept and staff knowledge of them was extensive. All food was cooked individually and was very well presented and delivered personally. The accomodation was modern, clean and amenities were very well explained."

"Very charming staff, great breakfast as well as thoughtful service, sorted a breakfast for my hubby to go and even remembered the order next day. Room was lovely and toasty, just what you need after a frolick in the forest. Slept very well. Lots of walks nearby, even saw owls. EXCEPTIONAL food, rare for these days they cater for folks with proper appetites! Loved the friendly field cat! Thank you for a wonderful time we loved it. 🙏"

"We had a 'superior' room/apartment, and it really was superior. An entrance hall, bedroom plus ensuite bathroom, AND a large sitting room/kitchen. Fantastic. And not noisy despite overlooking Saturday Market Place and being at one end of the High Street. Parking is available, in Saturday Market Place, and not cheap, but go a little further afield and find a long term parking car park and cost is reduced. It would be good to have breakfast supplies, but we were recommended a nearby cafe (two doors away), so not a problem"

"Good value for a few nights needed for work. The hotel needs updating. Good car park and fairly easy to locate. Needed to go and ask Reception for more milk supplies as no one came in to check the room. I ate in the restaurant twice and the food was good. Disappointed that it was closed on the Friday evening."

"We had an overnight stay at this riverside property. From arrival to departure staff were personable and proficient, we appreciated being shown to our room. The room itself was fine and the balcony with a river view was a bonus. Breakfast was well presented and in our opinion good value. We would certainly stay here again should we find ourselves back in the area."

"Stayed in one of the bigger family pods. Very clean, warm and cosy. Couldn't fault it. Needed bedding for the sofa bed. Staff went out and grabbed some straight away, very kind and helpful. Excellent value for money. Would come again and reccomend"

"I had a lovely stay here. The staff were very helpful and I had no issues whatsoever. The only thing I will say is I was disappointed with the lack of vegetarian options on the menu; there was only 1. other than that; I cant fault anything. Would highly recommend the hotel. Also plenty of parking too which was helpful as I had come for work purposes."
