"We stayed for one night and had a wonderful time! The staff were all so friendly, approachable and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt welcomed straight away. Our room (room 12) was beautifully decorated, very spacious and spotlessly clean. The air conditioning in the room was really good. We had Sunday lunch which was lovely. The roast potatoes could’ve been crispier but everything was tasty and well presented. Breakfast was very good too. Lovely hot food from the kitchen and a nice little continental selection. The car park is a few minutes walk away but they were fine with us parking in the courtyard to unload our suitcase. We look forward to staying there again soon!"

"Stayed for one night, but wished we had stayed longer. All the staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. He dined at the Lamb in the evening and the food and service were excellent. There was plenty of choice for breakfast with a range of additional cooked options. We had great views from our room which was very quiet."

"We stayed in the Penzance carriage as a minimoon for two nights after getting married. Jan had kindly let us stay with our dog even though the other carriage is more suited to dogs. But the Penzance carriage was still amazing. A garden for us and our dog to have a picnic with lovely views, a spacious hot tub and a fabulously and quirky decorated interior. It’s perfect for a staycation! Deffo will come back and stay again and 10/10 would reccomend!"

"We enjoyed our stay. Good layout for us all, with separate dining and living rooms. Bonus was a lovely private back courtyard to relax in. Town only a short walk away. Sometimes busy road made access to parking spot a little tricky. Great communication from hosts. Overall, would recommend for space and location."

"WOW! What a stunning place! Which we highly recommend a stay here. From when you initially arrive at the property and travel down the drive you can see the wonderful gardens and beautiful views. We were checked in by Millie, who showed us to our room, which was amazing Unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t open, but they did do meat and cheese boards, which we shared one of each, and certainly were not disappointed by the taste and variety. The staff are friendly and attentive, without being over the top, Millie was awesome and a real credit to The Old Hall."

"Good size room with lovely view over the river. We had dinner served in the room with was helpful. The staff were very nice. The room had not been full serviced before our arrival as there were two empty teabag packets in the stand. We had the room serviced the next day in order to have that replenished. The carpet has a lot of stains and desperately requires shampooing. Could also benefit from a new mattress. Overall we enjoyed our stay in a lovely location , and admitted it was a fairly late booking, we probably found what we paid quite high for two nights at this time of year.b"
