From the moment we arrived, the owners made us feel completely at home – they were incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely sweet. The hotel itself is charming and full of character, with each room being unique. We stayed in the one-bedroom king room with a hot tub and absolutely loved it – the jets were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The bedding was the comfiest we’ve ever slept on, making each night a dream. The decor is quirky and old-world, and the heritage property is beautifully maintained. The high ceilings and spacious rooms added to the feeling of comfort and elegance. We highly recommend Decker Hotel and Bar to anyone visiting Maquoketa – it’s a warm, welcoming, and memorable place to stay."
