This property was amazing. We thought it was brand new because everything was very well maintained. We did get units with bathrooms included.

Room was spotless. Staff so kind. Room was so comfortable. Very well decorated. Comfortable bed. Good location for touring around.

Located at the end of Tauranga Bay is a secluded beach cottage paradise. Our hosts, Sandra and Doc, greeted us with open arms and helped carry our luggage to our private, modern-equipped cottage. The place was extremely clean and neat and furnished with modern appliances, bathroom fixtures, and comfortable furnishings. Literally the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in…and my expectations are sky high! Place looked and felt brand new. No wall scuffs, no nasty grout, no warn carpet. It was adorable! Location was great too. Easy parking and just a short walk to the beach and the restaurants in town.

Extremely clean, nice layout

Very nice - clean comfortable bedroom and nice common areas. Breakfast offerings were much more than we needed/wanted. The yogurt, fruit and toast were great. Coffee was a bit weak (but we prefer strong coffee or a flat white)

Handy to downtown! Very clean, wine glasses were available.. we love our Sauvignon blanc . There was a small dishwasher with soap to wash the dishes we used prior to departure. Kitchen was fine, with all needed utensils. We got burgers downtown and ate in the room. Trash can was nice to dispose of our leftovers. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived at 1 so we went downtown for abit. The Lollie shop had real fruit soft serve ice cream. It was delish! Don’t pass it up. Bed was comfy.

Excellent accommodation very convenient location with a restaurant within walking distance. Yummy breakfast with fresh scones.

What a fabulous, unique place! So charming and well-appointed. Perfect for a couple. We loved it!

Wonderful property very unique

This place was lovely and spacious and very friendly. The beach run in the morning was my absolute favorite...it’s a short jog to miles and miles of pristine beach. My only warning is for the ladies with long hair...bring your own conditioner! The type they had in the shower didn’t work at all and I had a ‘rat’s nest’ until the next time I washed it with my own conditioner.

Close to restaurants and place was very clean

Very comfortable motel with large bathroom and small kitchen. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Quiet location walking distance to a variety of restaurants and amenities.

Great place to stay in Franz Josef. Staff is super attentive and helpful!
