"Aside from Perth Underground being a bit confusing to get out of, this hostel is very easy to find and a very easy walk passing by lots of affordable food places, convenience stores, and pharmacies. Check-in and check-out was quick and painless. Courtyard area is nice if incredibly noisy, but I couldn't hear any noise from my room. "I enjoy this place, it was built in 1849 as the name of the place. The room is simple, with 1 window, 1 fan, 1 table lamp, no TV. However, there is a common area with Books, TV, Table Tennis, Board Games, etc There is also a common kitchen with all the pot and pans. The best of all, free Pancakes for breakfast. "Was ideal for our one night stopover after landing in Perth. Beds were comfy enough, and the kitchen was well equipped (although we didn’t use it). Would recommend for a short stay before heading on to another place. Well connected as within the free transport area."

"Site manager/caretaker was nice, room was clean, toilets in the morning not so as to be expected with many people waking up at the same time. Advertised breakfast on hotels.com and on their flyer/map but did not supply breakfast, bit of a false advertising. Only stayed 1 night so can't say much about it. Bed made a squeeky sound and so did the neighbors! People confusing rooms and knocking on our and others doors. Bit expensive $85 for a backpacker, lucky I used a $45 free night discount...

"This place was newly refurbished. It was clean and modern unlike some of the other hostels. Spacious room, not crammed. Other facilities was good. Yellow CAT and Red CAT buses (free shuttle buses every 8 mins and 4 mins) were only 3 mins walk away. Convenient to go into city. Supermarket only 3 mins by walk. "
