"Having stayed at this hotel twice already, the second one with the room being flooded and NO compensation offered, we reluctantly booked another stay. This was purely for it being in close proximity to our needs. We are a party of 4, which includes an elderly person in a wheelchair who is in their late nineties. When we booked our latest visit, we phoned to request a connecting room to the accessible room that we had booked. The other room that we booked was a Queen with sofa bed. The person at the hotel confirmed that an accessible room with a connecting room was reserved for us on the 4th floor. Upon checking in were shocked to hear that the accessible room and other room were in close proximity. When we queried that we had specifically booked and paid for the 2 connecting rooms, the receptionist went to speak to someone from reservations. Came back a while later confirming that we now had connecting rooms however on the 1st floor. We went to our rooms & found that the connecting room only had a Queen bed but no sofa bed. Went back to Reception (another person served us so we had to tell her the whole story again and she had to check with Reservations what had happened). Apparently the room reserved for us was occupied by someone the week before and they extended their stay for a week so they remained in same room!! We paid extra for a room that we didn’t get - we had to insist on a refund for the balance. Not acceptable! Room were dirty and extremely noisy. Poor service!!"

"This is our first visit to The Yarrow Hotel. We were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel. The staff were just excellent in every way, very polite and professional, the venue is situated in an ideal position and an easy walk to the town of Broadstairs mainly downhill so just a slightly uphill walk back. Good car parking. The restaurant is first class offering a weekly menu with good choices, again staff excellent. Breakfast offers a wide selection of cooked or continental preferences. We opted for a Junior Suite which afforded a large room making for a comfortable stay. All in we consider The Yarrow an excellent choice, we will return again and recommend this hotel in all respects 100%."

"First impressions were “oh, no!” Reception area seemed dark and claustrophobic and the long walk to the room was almost depressing. The room seemed pretty dated, but it was immaculately clean. The super king size bed was super comfortable, and despite being part of a busy pub/restaurant in was incredibly quiet. Bathroom was so clean it almost sparkled! The breakfast was made to order and really tasty. The walk into town was easy and leads through the park which is beautiful. Would happily stay again if in the area "

"The perfect spot to relax and unwind listening to the sounds of the sea. We treated ourselves to one of the balcony suites and were not disappointed. Margate is an interesting mix of old and new but there are lots of places to explore food wise. This is also my first visit to one of the Guesthouse hotels and I would be keen to try the others in the brand. The pantry was a nice idea although there were no plates for the cake, glasses for the drinks or jugs to get the fresh milk from the fridge. Parking is free after 6 outside the hotel but otherwise its quite expensive to park in the area. "
