"We love this area of Chattanooga, and the old train station and this hotel are pillars of the history of the area. The hotel is very nicely remodeled. We stayed in a King room, but we hope to come back and stay in one of the train cars. The people are so nice - Dian, the head concierge, recognized us from another trip to the area and gave us a bottle of champagne to share in our room. The pool, the patio with fire pits, everything has such a relaxing atmosphere to it. The hotel’s restaurant next door, Elsie’s Daughter was also very good, and you get a 10% discount there if you charge things to your room. The only small thing that bothered me a bit was that there was no breakfast included. There is coffee and pastries in the lobby in the mornings, but everything you get is a separate charge to your room; coffee $3 and up, pastries $3 and up. I don’t think I’ve ever been in a hotel that charged you for a cup of coffee in the lobby. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay immensely. There is also a horse and carriage that runs from that location to take you on a tour of the town. Very nice."

"The room had a few random wet spots on the carpet, not sure why really. Found cigarette butts throughout the hallways. Some stuff was just a little outdated compared to how the pictures made it look but the staff was super friendly and helpful and couldn’t have been better. Breakfast was very good. Hot tub was out of order. The balcony could’ve been a little cleaner/more updated as well. But overall good experience for the night. The kids enjoyed their time."
