"Rooms were very nice and clean."

"Breakfast is not as upscale as on previous visits. Staff is good but not enough were available on this trip. We did not visit the winery this time. The exterior is what needs the most work. Why potholes continue to exist is beyond me. "

"Atmosphere was as expected. Parking was close. Planned trip for a year and all appeared great until we settled into the room and found that there was no hot water, only a single small role of toilet paper and limited to a single cup of coffee each. We gave the list to the registration desk and they stated it would all be taken care of. Following day; SAME PROBLEMS. Nothing had been addressed. We ended up finding a Walmart and purchased toilet paper, coffee and creamers. The historic experience was great but to have it overshadowed by such avoidable issues is a disgrace. Upon checkout I received an apologue and was told I would receive a $150 credit. It's now been 6 days and NO credit has been posted to my account! If we ever return, we will stay off premises where there is more appreciation for our business. "

"Fife and Drum is a wonderful place to stay in Williamsburg. The location is amazing because you can walk to the museums and restaurants. Check in and parking are very easy. The place itself is charming and they always have drinks and snacks available in their quaint dining area, as well as delicious breakfast options. We stayed in the Restoration room, which has somewhat odd decor, but on theme for the area. The only negative for me was the bed. The mattress was too hard for my back and it made it difficult to sleep. I don't know what the mattresses are like in the other rooms, but if you can't sleep on a hard mattress I would ask before you book."

"We did not use spa"

"The breakfast was ok. Eggs, bacon,sausage sometimes biscuits. No potatoes or grits. Cereals, muffins and bread for toast. Juice, coffee and yogurt. The coffee was very weak to the point that I could taste the cream over the coffee even after a staff member changed it. Otherwise it was ok."

"Conference room & hotel room ok. Furniture in room was worn, bed was comfortable. Staff at first was unfriendly- didn’t offer parking ticket- had to wait until they were ready to register later on day. "

"My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Cedars. Host was super friendly and breakfast was always delicious. Room was clean. The only thing that I think needs attention was our bathroom. The shower could use a good spray for mildew and the drain cover is not attached to anything. But other than that I would recommend this place."

"Room exceptionally clean. Nice little touches in room including turndown service. Valets very helpful and professional."
