"What a treat to get to stay in a historic building in Colonial Williamsburg! Our room at the old tavern was very comfortable and we loved taking our morning cup of coffee out to the back porch and then walking through the still streets. In addition, the staff at the Williamsburg Inn went above and beyond for us during our stay. When we discovered that the rental car wouldn’t start in the morning, the check-in staff sprang into action. Our bags were tucked in a secure place and they drove us to make sure my daughter made it to her interview. Then, when the tow truck still hadn’t arrived two hours later, Adrian kindly drove over to our vehicle and with a little help from YouTube we were able to restart the car. Everyone on the staff was so kind and helpful! Thank you!"

"I have mixed reviews. Location is wonderful. Staff is very friendly. Hotel is very clean. My room was on the smaller side for a king bedded room, but livable as its an older hotel. Bathroom was small. My rating is due to 2 things. It took over 20 minutes to check in. That's really unacceptable for today's standards. A second person finally came out to help. The second incident was at the bar. We were seated for over 20 minutes again and were completely ignored. We gave up and left."

"Beautiful house with so much space and character. Quick responses from the owner. Very close to everything in Williamsburg. Plenty of parking. The only thing we didn't like is that you had to walk through a bedroom to get to the room with the sofa bed. Not a big deal because we put the kids in there but it was a surprise. "
