Very close to the station but quiet. Nice staff and good service.

I went to Engelberg for a restful weekend of walking and was very happy with my stay. From arrival to departure the ladies who operate the hotel were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great, and they are well stocked with comforts like snacks and wine (very fairly priced too!) for late night goodies. I would recommend them and hope to stay again another time.

Hotel Alpenhof if a beautiful, peaceful hotel in Grendelwald. We had a suite on the top floor with a balcony and a sweeping view of the mountains and green hillsides. The room was spacious and clean, with an handy minibar in case you want to have a beer on the nice deck, and tastefully decorated in Swiss style. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at the hotel. Traveling single, I had a lot of questions, and the staff at the desk fielded them all and were very helpful. The hotel is conveniently located about 3 minutes from the train station, so you do not have to walk far. The morning breakfast offered was a great way to start your day. This is a lovely hotel near the cable car that goes up the mountain. You can ski right up to the front door of the hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly and eager to please. The breakfast was very extensive and well-supplied, with high quality food. I had a very enjoyable stay here, and would come again without hesitation. I confess that I was originally eyeing the Victoria Jungfrau for our stay. The pricing was a deterrent plus I wanted to be on the river. Very wise decision. Beautiful hotel. In the heart of Interlaken. Close to the train station + short driving distance to the Falls. Looked like a great spa but we couldn’t use it because of Covid. - you need a Swiss Covid QR to enter Spas + restaurants. Otherwise a beautiful experience.
