Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lords Castle All Inclusive Resort
2/10 Terrible
"Hugely disappointing! Check in was a shambles, it took well over an hour, we had to queue to get a clipboard to fill out a form, despite providing all the information the previous day online as requested which was a complete waste of time, then wait for our name to be called to complete the check in.
There was no hairdryer in our room, two wardrobes with a total of seven clothes hangers and no cushions on the balcony chairs.
we stayed for 3 nights and had no hot water on any night for a shower.
There was a buffett restaurant, an a la carte rest"
Waves Resort & Spa, Barbados, An Autograph Collection® All-Inclusive Resort
4/10 Poor
"The rooms are ocean view which is beautiful. They are also spacious. It is located in a quieter part of the island, so if you are looking for nightlife and action, this is not the location. As an all-inclusive, it is nice to not have to worry about daily meals. The food overall was decent with a decent variety. The nightly entertainment was a nice touch. Shout out to

"Beautiful ocean view and gorgeous beach area. Extremely helpful and cordial staff. Entertainment at night in outdoor setting and loved the Sizzle restaurant night particularly, along with a great buffet brunches. Well run and well done! Arranged a highly recommended catamaran cruise with Tamiani too"
"This was one of the most amazing places we have ever stayed at. Everything was perfect and the staff were over the top in terms of professionalism, efficiency, kindness and more.
The food was absolutely outstanding and would compare favourably with some of the best restaurants in New York City, Toronto, London and Paris.
Having the suites meant that we had more flexibility to do what we wanted with our extended family - and there is no price for that!
The short walk to Rescue Beach gave great views and swimming (on calm days) was excellent. Lots of Sea Turtles to be seen and an easy walk to Surfers Cove for an evening of music."
"Room was clean, we chose to only have service twice on our 11 day stay. Our room attendant, I think her name was June, was very attentive, and always gave us extra towels, & dishcloths, TP etc. to get us through until we wanted the room cleaned.
We had a deluxe studio, which fit our needs, but 1 thing, the bathroom was basically a walk in, back out. It was very small, if you wanted to close the door to take a shower, you had to back up to the toilet to close it. We are average size people, both under 175 pounds. Anyone larger than 200 pounds would have difficulty getting into the shower.
The kitchen was basic, but it served it's purpose. We only cooked light breakfasts & sometimes a grilled sandwich.
Wifi was pretty good, a little slow, but it served it's purpose.
All in all, we were happy with our accommodations.

"This is a very special property and hotel. We had a fantastic time and will definitely return again someday. Just be aware that the surf and winds on the Atlantic side of the island are more pronounced so if you want tranquil water you would want to stay on the west side of the island. But this is a wonderful place and we are used to waves and found the trade winds very refreshing. "
