"Location of the hostel is very good. Walkable to the Zhangjiajie National Park entrance. Overall room wasn’t that clean. The washroom had that typical smell and I saw a few stains on the bed sheets. There are only stairs but highest floor is only 5 or 6 I think. Overall it’s just a cheap acceptably clean place to stay near Zhangjiajie National Park."

The location of the hotel is at the less busy side of the avatar mountain park, which makes it idyllic. You can walk to the park entrance in 5 minutes. The rooms are simple but nice and clean. "We had a great stay at the No. 5 Valley Lodge! The staff are very accommodating and welcoming. The hotel is located very close to the West Entrance of the park and offers rides to the entrance on days you wish to explore. On our day at the resort, there were fun activities organized by the hotel, a beautiful pool overlooking the valley, and rice fields you could walk along! If we ever return to Zhangjiajie, we will be sure to return!"

"The front staff didn't speak English (though, someone was e-mailing me in English, but I guess I never met this person). We used a translator app back and forth which helped a lot, so I was grateful they had that. In order to use the AC I had to go down to the front desk each day and ask them to turn it on.
