"Friendly and helpful staff but the place is a bit run down. There is a strong smell of cleaning products and the room on ground floor is very damp and moldy. I'd recommend looking in the never part of town; east of the train station "

A lot easier than lugging up several flights of a spiral staircase. The gentleman we interacted with (owner) is so proud of his city, his B&B, and his COFFEE! He’s an expert at all three. "We had a wonderful stay here. Beautifully designed rooms with everything we needed for a week’s stay. Good mattress and very clean. The area around the hotel is perfection. Easy to walk everywhere, plenty of restaurants, and ample parking for a fee. The staff was extremely helpful and made staying here a breeze. My wife's only complaint as a light sleeper was the noise insulation- could hear upstair's water system filling up, chairs moving and conversations in the corridor as people waited for the lift."

"The biggest issue you may have with this B&B is trying to schedule your arrival, because you will need someone to let you in. (Second place is finding a way to move around Sicily which lets you arrive on time.) However, once you get there, you'll find a perfectly good place to sleep and recover from hiking around Trapani and Erice for hours on end. "This property is noisy from other guest and the poor sound proofing. Every night and all night, you can hear people coming and going, slamming doors, and a weird banging in the wall. Additionally, the internet was pretty bad and only worked (slowly) some of the time. For the amount we spent to stay here, I was really offended when they tried to get €100 out of me for a late checkout by two hours! They even admitted they didn’t have any guests booked so it would be an issue — pure greed....

"Owner on-site and very helpful. The suite was decorated in antiques and thoughtfully stocked with such things as personal bug spray, water, creamers/tea, etc. The "free parking" was on the public streets and square but the owner assisted us in making sure we were not in the wrong place at the wrong time. The continental breakfast delivered to the suite was nice. The public areas were a little worn and the elevator was a little scary... but the suite was in great shape. A/C was only in the...

"Comfortable room with shared breakfast room. Walk to old town further than expected but was good exercise. Having to walk to a cafe to get a croissant for breakfast is not my idea of B&B. Enjoyable stay overall."
