"Lovely quirky hotel. It is quite basic but the rooms are clean (and have a great view of Mt Fuji!), and the communal lounge is great to hang out in. The staff are lovely and so helpful, the shuttle to and from the station was very helpful! Lots of restaurants within walking distance. "

"We loved our stay at La Vista. Was blown away by the view of Mt Fuji from our balcony even though it was a bit of a cloudy day. Welcome drink + coffee machine in the lobby with a view of the moutain is superb! Loved the private onsens as well. Did not try the public female/male ones. Room was very spacious and luxurious even with an extra adult and toddler in tow. We had a hire car (highly recomend for the Lake Kawaguchiko area) otherwise the hotel does have a courtesy bus at various times. It is a bit of a splurge staying here but well worth it. A highlight of our trip!"

"We nicknamed the place The Japanese Grand Budapest Hotel. It’s a little worn down but has a lot of history and charm. The staff are lovely, the breakfast is huge and traditional, the bath and sauna are nice and relaxing, and it’s well located. Not modern and fancy but I would recommend."
"Hotel Regina offers a daily shuttle bus to and from Kawaguchiko station, which was an unexpected bonus.
There are quite a few local restaurants in the area, all within walking distance.
The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, and this made our stay at Hotel Regina an absolute pleasure.
The cherry on top was the best, and unobstructed, view of Mt Fuji from our room.
Highly recommended. Thank you! "

"Stayed two nights here while touring Japan from US. Really enjoyed our stay in a traditional Japanese Ryokan. The whole vibe was great, including provided kimonos, private dinner rooms, communal breakfast, multiple onsens, gorgeous garden. Meals were wonderfully traditional.Very laid back atmosphere but very professional and conscientious service. The front desk was very helpful."
