Dog and Family-Friendly Self-Catering Farmhouse on Working Farm

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed as a large multi generation family group so having ground floor bedrooms was a big plus. We also had a wheelchair user so the open plan nature of the ground floor was fab. The hot tub was brand new and lovely! The kitchen was really well equipped and we were able to cook a fab roast dinner for us all and all sit round the large kitchen table. It was also great to all be able to sit together outside with the ample chairs. The pool table and children’s toys were a big hit! Loved having the cows in the next field Just a lovely, homely place and we have some wonderful memories of our parents’ 60th anniversary. Thank you so much Moorhall Farm."

"Lovely lodges, well maintained and nice hot tub Only disadvantage is not being able to keep the car at the lodge as my friend has poor mobility. We had been promised the lodge closest to the restaurant building, but we weren't put in there unfortunately"

"We stayed 3 nights. The staff were extremely helpful. Our booked room was in annexe beside kitchen conditioning units with jet engine noise levels. Obviously unacceptable. We were given alternative accommodation which was particularly pleasant and quiet. This may not always be available, so anyone booking needs to check if they expect a quiet night. Very good breakfast"

"We really enjoyed our three night stay. The staff and the food were excellent. The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the area or popping over the border in to Wales. We were able to park right outside the door to our room which was well equipped and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others."

"The place was clean and bright. However we were unprepared for the atmosphere. Nowhere in the booking process did we understand that we were staying in a religious commune. We could not find the promised shared kitchen and the walls were very thin. Everyone was friendly but we only saw one last when we arrived and one when we left. We just felt the place was a bit strange."
