"Loved this quirky hotel and all the old features of the building. Decorated in keeping with hotel. Comfy bed. Good breakfast choices. Loved all the different bars to grab a drink. Only problem was there 2 events on which were rather loud and you could keep everything from our room. They did finish at midnight! I wouldn’t have normally bothered me but I was there Saturday night and needed to be be up early Sunday morning to work at a local wedding fair. "

"Staff we dealt with fine. Shower Room/Toilet was cramped, anyone who was large would struggle to use it. TV didn't really work as feed froze so gave up watching, and was slow to allow anything else to come up. Didn't have enough milk for tea, but thankfully good supply in breakfast room. The breakfast, though self service had everything you could need, and was really tasty. Added bonus was you could chat to other folk staying."

"Room absolutely perfect, very clean - super location. Continental breakfast provided as self service but no indication as to where it was. Luckily I found someone who was able to show me as it was in another part of the building with no signage, otherwise I wouldn’t have found it. Limited reception facilities, no one there when I left so unsure how to pay, in the end I left cash with a lady who assisted with the Abbey. Would definitely stay again, but I bit more direction/guidance would have been really helpful."

"This hotel is situated in the heart of the High Street with everything within easy walking distance . There was also a little Market with lovely things that was well worth a look . "

"Hay-on-wye is a special place and the Swan Hotel is a great place to stay, especially if you have a dog. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back."

"Very kind helpful staff. Lovely quiet, hotel with beautifully decorated interior. Absolutely fantastic breakfast which made allowances for my vegetarian, dairy free needs. The quality of the produce was top notch and cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again."
