"Such a fun facility. The Saturday night buffet was excellent with choices and quality. All the food kiosks kept the kids happy. Play the Ice man in the Arcade as you can win the most tickets to use to “buy” stuff in gift shop. The water park is exceptional, again a lot of choices for every age group. The room was as advertised and very clean. Beautiful view off our third floor balcony. The water park is available from 10:00am ( website say 1pm but when I called was told 10am) even though you can’t check in until 4:00pm. Check out is 11:00am but your park pass is still good until 8pm. Two full days of fun!!"

"My main complaint is one staff woman there in particular. I didn't get her name but she's an older African American woman with terrible manorism, was very rude and disrespectful, got tempered and unprofessional. I've never experienced first hand such rudeness in your face before. I think she's ready for retirement because she seems angry and bothered."

"The people were very friendly and the lobby looked pretty. However upon entering We were hit with an aroma. We weren't sure if someone was cooking or if it was incense but it was overpowering in the lobby. Not good if you are super sensitive to fragrance. The room was okay-ish. It's like they tried to do a 10-second tidy in their remodel. Example: there was a new bowl in the bathroom but it was wobbly and not installed properly. The paint was chipping in the bedroom. And the bathroom was meh. Like it was painted but the tub was sort of mildewy. Pretty sure we were hearing a train out the window."

"The rooms are out dated and seemed dusty, other than that spotless and had everything you would need. Amenities were great. We stayed in the off season and I wouldn’t recommend for that time of year (March), I can imagine it would be much more fun and lively in the summer."

"The staff was great and accommodating while in town for a Hampton University event. The service will be the reason for my return. Breakfast is steady, waffles are good, sausage may need to consider another supplier, not very flavorful, and lastly, bed was great, but it's time to upgrade the pillows, room was clean as always, again it is the service that keeps me coming back "

"I'm going to start with the one (and only!) suggestion I have for the property for improvement. Everything about our unit was great, except for the walk-in shower in the master bathroom. The shower head was of the older style water-saver type - very little water pressure and a low volume of water. In that big shower booth, that shower head did not produce enough water to make it a comfortable experience. The parts of you that are in the weak hot water stream can stay warm, while the rest of you is freezing because you're standing in the cool air. Also, someone with thick or long hair will have a hard time washing their hair in that shower. There are modern water-saver shower heads that do way better than this one did. Otherwise, the unit was wonderful and we had an enjoyable stay. Kitchen was modern and stocked with all the basics. Advice: If you're a coffee drinker, there is a full-size drip coffeemaker in the unit, but the provided coffee and supplies are basic hotel stuff. Recommend bringing your own coffee if you savor your cuppa. Tea drinkers will want to bring their own tea and a kettle. There is a grocery store about three miles down the road that should have anything you need. Building is in a quiet area - trains do rumble through occasionally, but they're quick. You can also faintly hear Busch Gardens. It's about a 10 minute drive to Busch, and 10-15 minute drive to the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center. 5 stars, highly recommend! Thank you Parkside! "

"The property was nice, but the doors to the rooms don’t block out any noise. I could hear normal tone conversations in the hallway from my bed. This made sleeping quite difficult especially when a sports team rolled in at 10pm screaming and running through the hallways. "
