"Everything was good front desk staff was cool rooms clean and nice parking"

"When i checked in my room smelled clean but upon inspection the bed had stains on it. The room was full of nats that we discovered through the weekend. We notified front desk they promised to come clean the bed we had to pretty much hound them. The hotel was full so they could not switch us and our whole family was staying there because of a graduation. The breakfast was trash. I would not stay here again or recommend but if you do stay. "Decent place, room was clean, hallways and stairways were dirty. Comfortable and clean, out of the way and very quiet."

"I was in town to play the Second Sundays festival. I thought it might be more comfortable to go ahead and get a room there rather than drive from Norfolk early in the morning through the tunnel and such. I called ahead to say my traveling companion was in a wheelchair. But I did not need a full walk-in shower, but we did need to know that the chair would fit through the bathroom door frame so she would have access to a toilet and a bath. We were told it would be dependent on the width of the wheelchair because they are made differently. I felt confident because my friend uses a child’s wheelchair. We got in late after a gig. The door frame was not even close. No wheelchair would ever fit through it. We borrowed a chair from the lobby, hoping we could use it as a transfer chair, but it made for a challenging evening for my dear friend. In the morning, we just needed to get cleaned up and go. That’s when we found out the handle for the faucet was broken and there was no way to turn the water temperature. We had no time, and we’re forced to take a cold bath. I did what I could with the coffee cup to add enough hot water from the sink to help, but we ran out of time for it to be comfortable. My friend opted not to take a bath at all and that’s how we went to the festival. We would have been much more comfortable if we stayed home, got cleaned up, and just drove early to the festival. I was very frustrated and unsatisfied and told the hotel but we got no response from them."

"The grounds and Williamsburg era residence are lovely. The pools are large and appealing. We thought the dining would be less casual and had to go elsewhere for dinner. We also didn’t want karaoke, just a quiet dinner. Fine for families with kids not for more sophisticated travelers."
