"room wasn’t bad, could’ve been a smidge cleaner but definitely was comfortable with it. the bed however, was pretty hard. everything else was nice, swim up bar closes a bit too early (6p?) and the buffet in the morning isn’t the greatest, but the other 2 restaurants on site are amazing, the bars are nice, and they have tennis courts and direct beach access as well. you have to pay extra for the spa on site."

"Gorgeous, well-maintained, and clean resort. The food was consistently 10 out of 10! The staff was always smiling, helpful, and responsive. Our swim our suite along the lazy river overlooking the spa was dreamy and romantic. The room had a large jacuzzi tub inside the room, and another jacuzzi tub on the outdoor patio. You don't need to bring toiletries - the room has *fragrant and luxurious* shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, toothpaste, toothbrush, cotton balls, q-tips, and even lavendar scented toilet paper. Hair dryer, bath robes, and complimentary slippers are also provided. The room also has a mini bar with quality liquors, coffee bar, sodas, water, mini fridge, cookies, m&ms, chips, oreos, other snacks, etc. You will feel totally spoiled. The food at this resort is the best!! We have been to TRS Akumal, Bahia Principe in Akumal, and Princess Yucatan, and Excellence has THE BEST FOOD of all! Breakfast buffet at Excellence is outstanding. The Sports Bar -- THE BEST Buffalo wings and French fries! French Restaurant - throw a dart, it's ALL delicious!! (*The escargot, French onion soup, and FILET!! Chef's Kiss!!) Steak House - Get the ribeye and the ribs! YUM!! Mexican Party Night - DO NOT MISS THIS. THE FOOD IS TO DIE FOR! Nightly Entertainment was Excellent! Great performers and lots of fun. Vibe - relaxed, resort-casual vibe. Fun if you want it to be (party pool), or relaxed and chill (float around the lazy river). TEN STARS!"
