"The Browns Canyon Inn is a great little hotel inside Salida. The front desk assistant, Kathy, was very cordial and helpful. The breakfast was surprisingly extensive for an inn this size. My only minor disappointment was the age of the mattress. You can tell that they have seen their better days. But overall, my wife and I enjoyed our stay at Browns Canyon Inn. Would definitely recommend it to others."

"Cute place, nicely renovated, clean, the check in lady was very friendly, they are dog friendly and have a VIP wall with all the dogs that have stayed. Look up the history of the Loyal Duke, if you love dogs it’s a tear jerker. We had a fantastic time and would stay here again."

"Loved our stay in Velma. Staff was great, location was great. Hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking and driving. Would stay here again in a room. Loved the airstream, but the rooms are super cute and would like to not walk outside for the bathroom. Having said that the shared bath/shower rooms were great. Super clean, barely a wait ever. Great experience overall, but just rather have a private bath next time. If rooms were booked up we would stay in Airstream again without question."
