"The room was great, lovely quiet location and staff were very helpful. Having the suite was a real treat although a shelf or platform by the freestanding bath and extra toiletries would have been nice. The property is ideal for an exclusive break but looking a bit tired in places, they could make much more of the gardens, which looked rather unkept, but perhaps the time of year was a factor. Unfortunately the fine dining options were not available, which for a bank holiday weekend was...

"Characterful place. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's a pub/restaurant/mini brewery with rooms. Good cooked breakfasts. Only problem is you can't usually park close by but there's a cheap long-stay car park about 10 mins walk away, same for the town centre."

"Excellent value for money for one night stay. Good bed, bedding and towels. Very limited hanging space for clothes. Food also very good. The only downside for the room was the hand towel holder was hanging off the wall "

Didn't get to try their food from their main menu as my partner was being very fussy and wanted pie and mash or sausages and mash and it wasn't an option on menu, but the breakfast was delicious."
