We have been coming to the Maya Hotel and Bistro for several years. It gets even better with time. The Lees are excellent in maintaining their standards of service and training staff. They improve their facilities and it is a truly welcoming place. Like a home you know you can always go to for the comfort and care. And the food....second to none! A most creative menu, infusing classic cuisines with just the perfect Caribbean/Belizean flavor. We will always return!!

I did a lot of research for our trip to Belize and just really couldn't find a place that seemed more appealing in our price range than Sleeping Giant. I was not disappointed. First, I'll say that we are the type of people to rent a car so we have a mode of transportation to explore, but at the suggestion of the hotel manager we decided to go with the hotel car service. I am SO GLAD we took her advice. Our flight was delayed and we got there after dark and there is NO WAY we would have ever...

My husband and I loved staying at Seiri Del Mar! The grounds are stunning and the condo provided everything we needed. The on-site washer and dryer was a plus! Ratka, her husband, and entire staff were so kind. Whenever I had a question I would just ask anyone and they would help us. We will definitely be back. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with beautiful local people Hopkins is the place to visit!

Had a great time. The staff at this hotel is really wonderful. It is a very pretty hotel set on a great beach. it is a quite town but close to lots of attractions. Water was great.

This place is super new or super newly renovated. It seems to be one of the first of its kind in this particular town. There is a fence around the property, but we didn’t see any particular need for it, aside from making guests feel secure and a little more away from the local sounds and sights. The neighborhood seemed laid back and not touristy. The bar-restaurant is SO cute. The food was excellent. I had the steak. My friend had the conch ceviche. Both were excellent. I also had the enormous...

Maya Heights is a breathtaking and serene place. My stay there was peaceful, relaxing The staff were all pleasant and kind.

For starters, if your idea of a great beach hotel looks something like a big city Marriot plunked down into a locale with sand and water, manned by local folks sanitized with white uniforms, then Parrot Cove Lodge, and for that matter Hopkins Beach in general, is probably not what you are looking for, and I'm guessing they are not all that interested in you either. If on the other hand you appreciate an intimate experience with your hosts, a clean, comfortable, well maintained room, excellent...

This is a lovely beachfront property. My husband and I stayed in the Stingray cabana and it was perfect. Comfortable bed, large bathroom and it was nice having the option of leaving windows open so we could hear the crashing waves or turning on the AC if the humidity was high. The staff was fantastic. Thank you!

The whole place was amazing! The cabins were bare bones but clean and cute. We had a porch in the back right by the rainforest, but wished there had been comfy chairs to sit on instead of a small, hard bench. The bathrooms were clean with some interesting insect life to observe while sitting there. Showers were hot and good pressure. The Toucan Cafe up front was superb - we ate every meal there. There is comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Fridge and coffee maker are available for guests....

This is a true hidden gem I booked at the last moment. Arrived late night, but once the sun came up, you were in true paradise. Everywhere your eyes landed, beautiful existed. From the bedroom suite to the bathroom to the porch, to diner area, to the natural spring pool. Breathe taken. I need to plan a trip just to experience this boutique hotel again. Thank you staff for showing me the beauty of the people and of Belize.

Beautiful room! Breakfast included is a plus especially traveling with younger kids! Friendly and welcoming staff! It is a place you’d want to stay and come back again.

We got this place at last minute, arrive late and the owner host were waiting for us. Room very naive, individual tree houses. The place is beautiful, we could not enjoy it ,much because we were in Placencia for a weeding and we were pretty busy, left early and come back late, we did have breakfast and I can say it is very good and reasonable, their restaurant have a great sea view.

My girlfriend and I could not be more happy with our stay at the Ellysian. I truly believe it is the best hotel/resort to stay in all of Placencia and possibly Belize. I know this probably sounds fake or like an add for this hotel but I really am this in love with the hotel and recommend it to everyone. First off, the facilities themselves are beautiful! Everything is kept extremely clean and beautifully furnished. The rooms are GIANT! We stayed in a non-ocean front room which we...

Spent 6 nights in this "hidden gem"! Tucked away in the quiet village of Hopkins, Almond Beach was a perfect place for a family getaway. The room was spacious and clean, right on the beach and quiet. The staff was friendly and accommodating--even making a homemade soup for our daughter who wasn't feeling well one night! So kind!! The Coffee shop made a perfect cappuccino every morning, and the restaurant served delicious local and fresh meals. We had a nice balance of relaxation and...

Five stars! Incredibly welcoming owners/staff, deluxe room - included microwave, toaster, refrigerator, TV (with channel guide)- and also provides bikes to tour the town! The owners walked us to our room and made sure everything was working. They also gave great activity ideas and restaurant recommendations. Plenty of parking just out front! And huge outdoor area with hammocks to relax! Loved this place!

If you are looking for a Boutique style hotel with immaculate grounds and amazing staff Jaguar Reef is for you. None of the crowds and insanity you find at the larger resorts. Just peace and quiet and gorgeous views. The excursions were absolutely amazing, made even better by professional and dedicated staff including Manuel, Rafael and Jonathan. Maryann was nothing short of amazing and did everything to make our stay wonderful! The rooms were spacious and elegant. We really enjoyed the nightly...

We had a great experience at Bocawina. The owners and staff were very personable, helpful, and friendly. The accommodations were very nice and clean. The food was excellent. There were so many things we would have liked to do had we stayed longer. We will definitely stay there again the next time we are in Belize!

It was excellent! The pool was so nice.

The room was not an ocean front view as it was advertised as it was a pool view. It was a long walk to parking on the street that was not convenient. The room was great in that it had high end furniture, fixtures, etc.
