"We enjoyed our stay especially because the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the hot tub in every suite. The only issue we had was that someone had left a window open in our room behind the curtain and we ended up with 5 or 6 flys in the room, which was a bit of a bother. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay, was very happy with the service we received, enjoyed the spa treatments we chose and was happy with the location in town. We would stay here again if we ever...
"Loved the private spa and the space
Modern kitchen
Loved having two bathrooms
Stairs are quite narrow
The website pictures are more modern than the actual rooms.
The smell in the room was very strong so had to have the air con running
Beds are really hard
Would love to know how to book the room with the balcony
The dryer in the laundry room is rusted so could do with updating"
"Very friendly staff, hotel was located in a very quiet end of Rotorua. Pool, hot small spa & small thermal pool were great to use. Very large room with balcony, air con & tv. Kitchen ammenities with microwave & fridge."
"The customer service was excellent. The room was what we needed. The only problem was in the bathroom. It looked like towel holders may have been removed but there was mould coming through. The maintenance may not have been completed and was still work in progress. The staff are really lovely."
"Kitchenette was literally a kettle and tiny fridge. Kettle wouldn’t fit in the sink in the bathroom so had to fill via cup. No way to clean dishes and housekeeping won’t come till day 3 so we had to ask reception for new cups and mugs when needed. No way to eat own food in room.
The windows don’t close properly so all you can hear is people up and down the driveway. Reception closed at 6pm and there was no one to keep an eye on noise, which meant we were awake until 11:45pm thanks to several...
"Value for money, paid $160 for two nights room was warm beds where clean, private spa bath. Yes not flash and perfect, but for the price I won’t complain. Two indoor spas and an outdoor heated pool, perfect for thoose travelling on a budget !!"
"When we read some of the previous reviews we wondered what this Motel would be like. The manager greeted us early and let use leave our luggage until check in. When we did check in he personally came to show us the room and amenities. Plenty of dishes ,pots snd pans, etc. Fridge ,stove microwave . They also supplied tea, coffee, sugar every day and on the day we arrived also a little container of cream for our coffee. They gave us plenty of towels and replaced them daily,as well as replacement tea...
"We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were amazing- so helpful and really good with my young boys. The pool was amazing…couldn’t get my boys out!! Would definitely recommend to others :-)"
"Really nice place to stay. The 3 bedroom house is really spacious and has everything you need.
The only negative was the creaking floors (not a major) and the heat pump in the main room was quite loud so turned it off."
"We fully enjoyed the lodge! Amenities are from New Zealand, kitchen facilities are perfectly equipped and the location is of course perfect to walk around the city, all of which helped us staying entertained and enjoying local foods :)
You may be better to bring large garbage bags and cooking oil if you’re a cooking traveler! Other than that, almost anything you would think of is there :))"
"Have tried emailing the motel and no one has replied unfortunately, the actual condition of the motel was completely different from what was advertised. When we arrived, we were very disappointed with the overall appearance of the property. There was rubbish scattered around the outside of the motel, and the property did not look anything like the photos we had seen when making our booking.
Unfortunately, the condition of the room was even more concerning. The room had a strong smell and was very...
