"The location was great. Staff was very friendly, and the property was beautifully renovated. Elevator was available. Suggestion for improvement: install AC units in rooms on top floors. Our room on the 3rd Fl. already heated up quite well during the day in May. Cool nights and open windows helped but might not be effective during a hot summer. Also, please install a lock box in rooms. I will stay here again. "

"The room was in the eaves so headroom awkward on one side of bed. Differing levels in bathroom too. Reception service was a bit haphazard - hadn't a clue when reception unattended if they knew you were there. Parking was also a bit hit & miss and unclear, but it is the same price as overnight parking on the street."

"An eccentric conversion of a gentleman’s country home into a special hotel. Decor a cross between the Rocky horror show and day of the triffids. Meals dinner and breakfast very nice."

"The hotel is nice. The building seems to have been converted from a country house and the interior decorations are quite nice. The staff are friendly and eager to help. We didn’t try the evening meal but the breakfast was good. The hotel doesn’t have a lift, although there aren’t too many steps, still a lift seemed necessary. Also the bathroom seemed to be in need of refurbishment. I would give the overall experience four out of five."
