"Our room was small but clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed a bottle of wine which was reasonably priced and the fish and chips were delightful. Our evening meal was also delicious and so nice not to be rushed. All staff were very helpful and friendly, we only stayed one night but would certainly recommend."

The only thing we found challenging was that the menu for the evening meals didn't change. After two nights, we were lucky that a BBQ had been organised so we could order that for a change. Unfortunately, the BBQ finished at 5pm which was rather early for an evening meal. "

"It was all good but there were two things not so good we were put on the top floor with a narrow staircase approaching 80 for us not good, also our bedroom window rattled which kept us awake the first night before we wedged paper between the windows!"

"Russel and Nicky made us feel very welcome and at home , the breakfast are amazing and worth a revisit alone ! The room was clean and tidy , the en-suite was spacious and the views from our windows over the river were great . We had bedroom 3 and the river runs directly outside and the sounds and views of the river are very relaxing . We would highly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely quiet peaceful break with lovely walks right on your doorstep.. we will be back for sure "
