"I was a bit wary staying at a pub chain but any reservations (except that for my room) were quickly rendered moot when I entered the grounds. The property is set back from the main road with a good drive leading to several parking areas. After checking in I moved my car to the parking near the accommodation which was several buildings surrounding a courtyard area. My room was was nice and clean although I couldn't access the internet on my laptop for work. The bathroom was especially nice with a fantastic shower which I used after a nice, hour long walk around the area. The £108 I paid included the room, breakfast and also dinner which comprised of 3 courses. I only paid extra for drinks which constituted fantastic value for money. A great night's sleep was followed by a great breakfast leaving me very satisfied with my choice of destination."

Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. "The setting of this BnB is absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was perfect nothing fancy just exactly what you need, we specifically enjoyed the homemade rhubarb compote! The room was part of a converted barn and really cosy. The host was lovely. "
