Especially when arriving at Grand Central, getting to Freehand is very easy, and from here you have easy access to everything while still being a bit off the beaten track. "

"Just in off famed Park Avenue, and a few blocks away from 5th Madison and 5th Avenue (shopping galore), as well as Central Park (easy to walk up to the Central Park Zoo, and if you want to get your steps in, up to the Met), this boutique hotel is a find. Especially as the rooms (we had two queen beds) were much larger than most in NYC at the same price range. While there's no food in the hotel, restaurants and coffee shops abound as soon as you walk out the door. And many rooms have small kitchenettes. The staff is lovely and helpful, the beds are very comfortable, and we would certainly stay again."
