"Good stay, nice room, great staff, good breakfast, right on the beach"

"At the end of our Sri Lanka holiday we decided to spend a bit more on our Unawatuna hotel & were not disappointed. We had large rooms with loads of space, kitchen, really comfy beds, excellent views from our balconies. The staff were helpful & the pool lovely. We did book nicer rooms that some there & didn't eat so can't comment on the food. It's a bit of a walk or a short Tuk Tuk ride to the main tourist area or a beach but that also means it's quiet there."

"What can I say about the best 4 nights/ 5 day stay at the stunning Uga Prāva? Impeccable, luxurious, relaxed, elegant, extremely friendly staff (Prem is one wonderful butler), delicious food. The attention to detail is on- point, everything from the seamlessly understated decor, to the gorgeous infinity pool, gardens, view out over the Indian Ocean, quiet, seriously comfortable suites, .. "Ett hotell som kunde varit ett litet paradis lyvärr stämde iångt från vägar och byar men bilderna stämde inte alls överens med verkligenheten. Det är ett nedgånget och slitet hotell där rummet vi fick hade stått oanvänt i månader. Vi fick be dem komma och ta bort spindel och spindelnät från sängen och att städa hela badrummet. Utomhus ser det ut som hotellet inte varit omskött på flera år. Dock får man ge den lilla poolen ett plus i kanten."

"Simply wonderful and chilled out boutique hotel! Ideally located for excellent beaches and coastal towns, but tucked away in the rice paddies and jungle. Excellent"

"Nice clean rooms and attentive staff, pool was heated and the location was walkable into certain surf spots; sticks, and marshmallow. Only issues is that the bathroom was slightly broken, sink was loose and shower door dragged. The staff we not familiar with Expedia payments, but this is common for the island as most hotels don’t like the idea of not being paid cash. This was sorted eventually but remember to show your payment receipt on check in. "

"Nice and comfy room. Beautiful garden with many beautiful birds and other wildlife. Close to the beach. Plus is for the distance to Galle Road (which is very noisy). The dinner was good, but far from great. The curry’s are way to salty. Same as for the breakfast (don’t try the chocolate pancakes). Beautiful place and very friendly staff. - Big minus for the hotels own landfill that you see if you take a walk outside the fences. They should really clean that up. Not ok! "
