"24 hour front desk was appreciated. Quaint, small room and relatively quiet despite hollering, drunk students and tourists till all hours on every street. Great to visit pubs with music and value for money."

"Rooms are very simple and very small. Difficult to move suitcases around. We were on the fourth floor and you could feel and hear the music from downstairs. Not loud, but noticeable. One elevator. Staff was very helpful. Bar was great with live music. Great location."

"I stayed there twice over 10 days of my trip. The first night's stay was comfortable but super noisy. My room was on the first floor above the alley, apparently where the deliveries were made because there was a lot of vehicle noise and movement throughout the night. When i returned for the second set of nights, i requested a quieter room and it ended up being much better. The manager (i think) seemed pur out by my request, but she complied and i was much happier. Breakfast was amazing, with fresh pastries, yogurt, protein oatmeal and meats and fruits available. Location is great and everything you really need in the city is walkable from here, and if you need bus transportation, it's right outside."

Academy Plaza Hotel

Academy Plaza Hotel

8/10 Good
"I ended up needing to stay in Dublin an extra night due to a cancelled flight. I chose this hotel for the night as I've stayed here in the past so knew location well and area around it was convenient for getting around and catching bus to the airport the next morning. I was pleasantly surprised to find that a room was ready just after 11am when I arrived after checking out of my other hotel so I was able to drop my stuff in my room and head off to enjoy the "bonus day" in Dublin. Staff was kind, room was clean. Only complaint is the fan for the bathroom is very loud and doesn't turn off right away when you turn the light off for the bathroom, it continues to run for a few minutes afterwards. Otherwise I like this hotel and will book again."
