"Overall beautiful resort, but the “luxury” rooms have a view of an empty lot, an abandoned building covered in graffiti, and the very busy street. The pools on the deck are not heated so for us were too cold to use despite warm weather. None of the other beautiful pools were heated either so no one used them. Many people sitting around it but no one could use it because it was so cold. Our bed was not comfortable at all, but the pillows were great. 😊The staff were lovely, very helpful. Airport transfers were great, on time and well organized. We did not particularly like being so far away from Chania, taxis are expensive and sometimes difficult to get when you want one. Our mistake for booking so far out!! We assumed it would be easy to get to and from town, but it really wasn’t. We ended up renting a car, but also very limited parking at the resort. We drove all over, found amazing places to visit and spend the day. The beach near the resort is not very nice at all, not really usable, very windy. The food at the resort was fantastic, dinners especially. So fresh."

We loved our room (try booking sea view, it’s Stunning) - rooms are spacious with a small kitchenette that has everything if you choose to prep a meal. The beach is white soft sand and right next to the hotel with plenty of sunbeds & umbrellas, and you can order food and drinks - the service at the beach was superb! There is also tons of good restaurants nearby and food was absolutely delicious! Special thanks to Niko and Yannis and their team - they went above and beyond our expectations and made our stay extra special - always positive, always available and super helpful with everything we needed! Highly recommended!"

"This was our second visit to Atlantica Amalthia. Very nice hotel. Everywhere was very clean, our room was a good size (we had a room in the building on the beach side) with nice balcony. Nice bar and restaurant. Breakfast room was nice and good choice of food. Very well kept beach. All of the staff were first class. So friendly, polite and extremely helpful. Visited the spa and had two massages during my stay and both were very nice and relaxing. Definitely recommend. Reasonable price. Didn't use the pool as it got busy very quickly. Sunbeds were very close together and not positioned well that you could get the sun all day. Whilst I enjoy swimming in a pool, we chose to stay on the beach each day. Good location with plenty of restaurants nearby. Recommend Sebastien next door. Absolute gem of a hotel and would definitely recommend it."

"Clean room with fairly powerful hair dryer but is stuck in bathroom. Beds comfortable and air conditioned. Good size fridge and safe. Triple room didn't provide enough chairs on balcony or enough hangers in wardrobe when we were booked as a 3 occupancy, but on asking we were provided with extras at no cost or issue and promptly. Swimming pools x 2 big, clean but very cold. fairly comfortable loungers with umbrellas and clean towels provided daily but pool doesn't open early enough in my opinion 10am-6pm only. Plenty of restaurants to choose from but didn't try food but noted to be good. Good selection of well made cocktails and delicious ice cream milkshakes. Small mini market shop on site good for water and snacks. Staff friendly and helpful especially front desk. Indoor spa pool ok size, but pool not very warm and not many beds. Good neck shoulder back massage and you get 45min use of sauna and steam room with spa treatments only either before or after the treatment. Showers available to use in this area useful for check out day. Free sun loungers on small section of beach attached to hotel with good bar facilities. Breakfast buffet large selection cooked and cold options and restocked frequently so felt fresh with hot plates available. Some lovely complimentary snacks, wine, water and ala carte breakfast provided. 1 day of power cut to local area but we were warned and back up generator meant no issues other than noise if directly by the generator. Nice relaxing stay"

"I have so many wonderful things to say about this property. Georgina what a beautiful soul she is she is so welcoming went out of her way to help us any way she could. I will stay there for many years to come . The location is the best , you cannot find a better location with an amazing swimming pool and the ocean just a few steps away from there. I’ve been coming to Crete the last 12 years a month at a time , if you’re looking to stay in a hotel that has all the amenities in the rooms do not hesitate to book this one as it goes quick. "It is a large hotel by the sea clean and well maintaned. It consists of two main buildings separated by a busy street but safely connected by a bridge. Our room was spacious on the sixth floor of the building further away from the beach with nice views over the sea. Beach is quite long, sandy, with shallow waters making it great for families with young kids, and is very enjoyable with the exception of when northern winds blow which can cause huge waves. It has 2 large pools with sufficient number of sunbeds. Food of good quality and variety. Overall an quite enjoyable stay."
