"We really liked the hotel and the staff. We didn’t require breakfast as we ate elsewhere. The Hotel was well positioned for the Castle and shopping plus an enormous choice of eating places. The only thing we didn’t like was the extremely poor standard of cleaning in the Onsen area. We really enjoyed the onsen, but the changing room floors were quite dirty with debris, lots of hair on the floor, used towels left around, used razors left in the onsen washing area plus the changing rooms. The sink area had lots of hair also. We saw the cleaning wasn’t being attended to regularly, this onsen is very busy and it needs cleaned regularly through opening times. We hope management inspect this area and take action to improve cleaning."

"We had a great time at the hotel. It is very quiet and the location is amazing. We really enjoyed the buffet dinner and breakfast and the onsen was a great way to start and end the day! Our room was spacious (twin beds) with a great view of the mountain. We will definitely come back if we ever come back in the area. We even considered extending our stay but couldn’t because of other plans. Highly recommended for a relaxing time."

"Beautiful entrance and lobby. Rooms are smaller but have everything you need and some with amenities provided. Close to Gorge and Shrine. Feels like a mountain town. Loved it!"

"The Blossom Hotel Kumamoto is hard to find as was advised in the reviews! It ‘s front door is very tall and right up against the Station building!, we found it ok. It is a great hotel in every way and the buffet breakfast was the best that we had on our 16 night trip. The food at breakfast was all labelled with allergens ( gluten free, dairy free, etc) . The quality and choices at breakfast are spot on! Staff are friendly and helpful! We were basically the only Westerners there.! The room was big enough for the three of us and the beds were comfy. Would certainly stay there again!"
