"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What pleasant stay. Lake right out the door. Kayaks to use and were used. A fire pit for an evening fire(we did not take advantage of it), wrap around deck with grill. Kitchen was well stocked and the appliances were nice.The 2nd bath was nicely updated. TV in living area easy to use. The beds were comfortable but did slope to the center allowing you tobe close to your love one. There were some issues that should be addressed. The outside is in need of TLC. The window seals need to be refreshed and the wood is in of new stain. All outside solar spotlights not working making it difficult at night.The light switches were an adventure wondering what controlled what. Some labels would be helpful. There were no extra trash bags. The master bathroom had carpet. Probably remove it for rugs. The master shower only has 1 control, hot and hotter. As info, the basement was unlocked and there was a gun in there. The issues did not take away from enjoying the property and our stay. Correcting the issues would be easy and enhance the property. We would definitely stay there again. Easy access to the area with major stores nearby."

"The location is beautiful.Plenty to do.Very clean, all the basics for cooking and cleaning on site.The main portion of the home is an old camper, its actually pretty neat, although it does make accessing the bedrooms and bathroom feel like you're in a camper. We loved everything about the place, except the beds. Not very comfortable."

"The property was nicely situated on the lake and provided for a small private dock area and fire pit. It was lovely kayaking on the small lake and listening to the loons. Our host was efficient and responsive to a few minor needs with the property. I would stay here again!"

"You know it’s a great stay when you’re sad to leave! Our anniversary trip at this cozy cottage was fantastic. Jody is a warm, caring host and very quick to respond to any questions. We appreciated the attention to detail in the cottage — little things that can make a VRBO feel like home, like Kleenex, extra dish towels and wash cloths, paper towel, full kitchen & anything you might need to cook, warm lighting for evenings, comfortable furniture, outdoor seating options, a grill, coffee pot and Keurig along with some coffee pods (my love language ), and comfy blankets throughout the cottage. Plus the entire cottage was extremely clean!We also enjoyed the fire pit, kayaks, and beautiful lake view. I loved having my coffee and quiet time out on the back porch each morning. It was also great being only about 15 min from Traverse City. We will definitely be back & recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway."

"I can go on and on.This is an amazing restorative spot. Perfect for a solo trip, which is how I traveled, or just with a buddy.The owners are incredibly nice, responsive, and helpful.Laundry room is provided, a nice downstairs shower (I didn’t use the upstairs), Everything is tidy and well kept. Driving into Traverse, Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear, the Leelanau, was all very easy. Will absolutely return."

"This home is in a quiet neighborhood on a culdesac. It is very clean and layed out nicely to gather in the kitchen and dinning area.We had both units so we had plenty of space. It might be a little awkward for some people if you only had one of the units as you are in the same house with separate entrances and a shared laundry room. The VRBO details suggest a lake view from the front porch…. You can see the lake through the houses that are across the culdesac but I would not consider it a lake view. We ate at Oakys as suggested in the details and yes they do have great wings!! The food was very good!!Both units are awesome!! We would definitely stay here again!"

"The home is as described and located on Bass Lake. The home was clean and located close to local shops for quick runs for necessities. The use of kayaks, paddle boat and lifejackets was amazing on the lake. We rented a pontoon boat which was easily done via public access 2 minutes away. The dock was equipped for the docking of the pontoon boat which was great. This home has all the amenities of home with extras such as many spices for cooking as well as cooking supplies. Has a cute loaded coffee/tea bar. There’s a crockpot available if needed. We had a large group so I had brought my own cooking supplies and necessities but was not necessarily needed. All the room are spacious and well decorated. They do have a high chair, pack and play, games and some activities for kids in the house. In all I was pleasantly surprised with our stay and would recommend this for a quiet serene getaway with loved ones or friends."
