"Great little place - really impressive in the details - Native bath products, super plush Brooks Brothers towels. I think I’m ruined I need to buy some now really nice people. If you’re going there to see the mansions definitely get the individual membership and sign up for as many guided tours as possible they’re amazing and worth every dollar if not three times the cost. Also Uber when you can because parking in town sucks both availability and cost."

"Overall, a good stay. The location is perfect, we parked the car once and walked everywhere. The big drawbacks are the noise levels from being on Thames Street (big red flag when they offer ear plugs at check-in), and the blinds are old, 70’s-style Venetian, with slats. They offered no light protection, and we were up with the sun."

"For the cost of the hotel, we were pretty disappointed. We expected better service throughout the weekend I had called 3x to confirm that a crib will be in our room upon our arrival as we were going to be there close to our son’s bedtime. I called to confirm on our way to the hotel as well, and they said it was already there. Going to our room, it was not and it took close to an hour to get one, throwing our sons entire bedtime off. Later that evening, I asked front desk for a blanket I could sit outside with. They said they would bring it out, over an hour later and a few follow ups no one showed up. I had also asked someone to turn the fire pit on so I could enjoy sitting outside, and again no one assisted. Overall, it was a pleasant weekend but we were disappointed in the service."

"Poor service and waited an hour after standard check in at 4 pm for our room to be ready. After entering the room, which should have been clean, we found something quite disgusting on the bed so if the sheets were changed this item would not have been there. The room was obviously not cleaned. We ended up not staying at the Viking and checked into another hotel and had a great experience. The Viking was very disappointing after the so called “renovation”. We will not be visiting the Viking again."
