"On arrival the staff were very helpful however when after being given our room we were appalled at the condition, especially the bathroom. The furniture was old and dated, the mattress and pillows hard, but it was the bathroom that dismayed us the most. There was black mold on the ceiling and extractor fan, the floor was uneven due to the lino was separating from the wooden floor. The taps on the sink needed replacing and the shower controls didn't work. To sum up the bathroom wanted gutting. After complaining and requesting another room we were told the hotel was fully booked but would be moved in the morning. The duty manager was very apologetic and we were offered a complimentary evening meal and drinks which didn't really compensate for the situation. The next morning we were moved to another room, a little better but not great. Wouldn't stay again or recommend."

"Beautiful suite and fantastic amenities"

"Lovely hotel but our room wasn’t cleaned properly, could have done with a good freshen up , however we did see painters in so probably in process of freshening up rooms, bed was very comfortable but could have done with new pillows as they were a bit flat, Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Food was very good huge portions, freshly cooked and reasonably priced."

"The river rooms are best as there is alot of early morning traffic in the roadside rooms. Other than that the hotel and staff were great."

" Very welcoming staff and pleasant hotel with beautiful surroundings. Elements restaurant is classy with a good menu. The Spa area is clean and the option to use the outdoor hydro pool is an added bonus (additional £20 pp for 2 hours) but on a sunny day is worth it. Parking is short walk away, but this is not an issue. "

"Perfect accommodation for large group, lots of comfortable beds and plenty of showers and toilets. Spacious and clean communal areas and a nice outside seating area that gets sun most of the day. Really well stock, cutlery, pots, pans, glasses, cleaning equipment, we only needed to bring our food. Lots of entertainment on site as well. The owner was also very helpful."

"Room was comfortable. Only one towel in a double, but they accommodated immediately. Very convenient location and parking was great."

"We had a pleasant stay overall. The house was clean and tidy, with a good heating system that kept the place comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with enough utensils for cooking, which was very convenient. We also really enjoyed the Jacuzzi during our stay. The only feedback we would mention is that it was sometimes difficult to reach the host when needed. Additionally, the shower in the bathroom did not have enough water pressure. Aside from these points, we had a nice stay and appreciated the comfort of the house."
