"The cottage was situated in a beautiful area, was quiet and had lovely views. There were many local walks and it was close to the South West Coast Path. The Host was very helpful with advice on the local area and easy to contact. It is a lovely property for small dogs and we were able to walk into the village, visiting the Mill and local pub. The kitchen is well equipped and the tea, coffee, milk and biscuits left for guests were much appreciated. "

"Room spacious, lovely clean bathroom. Breakfast fresh to order. I have coeliac disease so they provided me with a gluten free cereal. All the staff were very helpful. We travelled by train so no need for parking but there was ample space. Few minutes walk from the seafront. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. "

Everything was as we remember it from 2 years ago when we visited to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary - we have visited Budleigh since we were first married and Poplar Cottage provides a wonderful and comfortable base from which to explore our old haunts, and even find new ones. Cant fault anything , we shall be back again."
