"Would stay here again and again. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was spotless and the layout of the room felt very modern. Also a great location, around 10-15 minutes to Amsterdam Centraal from Spaklerweg on the metro which is less than a 5 minute walk away. "

"Clean room, friendly staff, clean towels, shampoo + body wash + hand soap provided, every morning cleaners were always around the hallway to get more toilet roll / amenities as needed. The only “downside” was the hotel is quite out the way from the centre, it’s about 30 minute walk and there’s a free boat that runs 24/7 to take you across the river - also there’s a lot of local bars / restaurants along the way so you can gain a more authentic vibe. If you have mobility issue though and get cabs an uber is like €10-40 to get to and from centre - depending on time but if you enjoy a walk it’s nice clean air etc. Also really comfy beds but I’ve never been in a room so small! Lovely hot powerful shower with plenty of room however! 10/10 in total would stay again"

"Amazing Jr Suite well appointed, spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet for sleeping. The Van der Valk Amsterdam Amstel is 5 minutes walk to the Metro fantastic for touring around Amsterdam. The hotel itself is English speaking, beautifully decorated with a first floor bar and restaurant both upscale. The first floor hosts the daily breakfast which is nothing short of 5 star. Wellness Tropen is included with Steam room, Saunas, showers and heated outdoor pool not to mention the lovely lounging areas. Definitely 5*."

"Rooms: We had a normal double. The room was nice and spacious, the only bad thing about the room was the yellow-ish sink that could do with a bit of scrubbing. Accessibility: The hotel is accessible to the tram, 9 mins away to get the 2 changes tram to the city centre or there’s a bus aswell I believe. We did had a few ubers since it was a few of us. Facilities: Please make sure you buy bottled water from the shop, they sell their big water for £8.50 (complete joke) and £3.50 for the small one. You then have to pay £20.00 for a European connector as they don’t lend it to the guest. Breakfast: The lady who checks in the guest for breakfast is really nice, always the same energy every morning, the rest of the breakfast staff are really nice and very helpful too. "
