"Good internet, really helpful staff and great location "

"Big hotel with quiet room. Bed on the harder side but we like it that way. Semi open bathroom which means a door to the toilet but otherwise open, with a wall to the rest of the room. Had a view towards the eastern part of the city on the 7th floor. Free parking and the garage is accessible from the hotel with a special elevator- good! The evening restaurant is small with a limited menu. Well located close to the Wittenberg platz with U-bahn connections and a few minutes walk to KaDeWe. Would definitely chose Riu again!"

"Excellent location right next to a station and within walking distance of lots of places of interest including the Brandenburg Gate. Really friendly helpful staff. Huge room for a city centre hotel. Topped off with an amazing breakfast!!!!!!!"

"The actual apartment is wonderful. It's an attractive spacious studio with a clever layout. Very quiet, with huge sunny windows. Excellent location for sightseeing, amenities, and transport. Wonderfully comfortable bed. Shower/tub combination. The bed is in a corner, so if two of you stay then one will have to climb over the other to get in and out of bed. Five shiny gold stars for the apartment itself! The amenities aren't as good. The elderly washing machine gets things as clean as if you hand-washed them. It leaves clothes surprisingly wet. There is only a drying rack for drying. You have to supply your own washing detergent - but who wants to buy an entire container of detergent for a short stay? Perhaps the heating was turned off for April? It was chilly in the studio, esp at night. I was provided with 1 tiny soap and 2 loo rolls for an 11 night stay. No change of sheets, no cleaning. When I requested more supplies, they said yes, but I had to make the trek to the office to pick them up. Communications were inexcusably bad. I normally never need to email hosts. But I needed to write to them to check what consumables were provided, to highlight an overcharge, and to say the washing machine was not working. They never replied to any of these. But they did without any warning send a washing machine repair person! Would I stay again? Yes. The property itself is great. Sort out the management processes and the laundry facilities, and it would be 5 stars."

"Was asked to pay 15 euros to use the sauna (the pool and gym were apparently ‘complimentary’). Since when does an expensive hotel charge me for part of the fitness center?! A shameless cash grab."
