I loved my stay here. Property is very big. Staff is kind, i enjoyed the food, the beach is big and breathtakingly beautiful. Crystal clear turquoise waters. They have a coral reef system with lots of fish so bring your goggles. Decor is dated but in person the room is not bad. Oceanfront room was spacious, clean, smells good, and I have the double balcony. I asked for a mattress cover and it was so plush and comfy. I removed the Barney purple/pink pillows/throw off the bed and it instantly looked better. Food was good here and lots of options. I didn’t attend any of the events because I just wanted to relax. They have a free book library where the luggage is kept.
CON- Air Conditioner is almost nonexistent
I was hot and uncomfortable the majority of the time especially at night. When I put my hand up to the vent I could feel cold air but it was not circulating through the room. The force coming out was maybe 3/10 very weak, the fan doesn’t spin fast so I can’t even feel it cause it’s not over the bed. 2 service calls and it was blowing better but still not enough to be comfortable. Felt like 75/76 degrees. With the exception of the AC issue everything else was perfect and I loved this resort. I’ve been to 5 different Riu’s and this one was my favorite
