Disappointing Stay – Not Recommended
We recently stayed at the Mountain View Inn in Canmore, and unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. While the stay started on a high note with a smooth process and the staff kindly granting us an early check-in, the experience went downhill quickly once we entered the room.
The Room & Amenities: The accommodations are incredibly dated. The television was so tiny it was barely functional by modern standards. While the beds were decent enough to get a night's sleep, the rest of the room felt neglected.
The Bathroom: It was the biggest letdown and felt quite unsanitary.
Cleanliness: We found hair on the floor upon arrival, which immediately "icked out" our kids. They were so uncomfortable that they avoided using the washroom as much as possible during our stay.
Condition: The space felt unclean, likely due to how old and worn everything was. The bathroom door was swollen and would not shut completely, providing no privacy.
Fixtures: The toilet bowl was exceptionally low, seemingly built for "tiny humans", making it awkward to use.
Toiletries & Linens
The "underwhelming" theme continued here. The toiletries provided were basic and poor quality. Most frustratingly, the bath towels were absurdly small, barely larger than a hand towel. They wouldn’t even wrap around a waist, making the post-shower experience very inconvenient.
The lack of cleanliness and the aging infrastructure made this a very disappointing experience
