"The hotel is in a great location and when the street construction is completed, it will be excellent. Everything in the hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I do wish that they offered breakfast, even if it was only continental. There was a restaurant on site, but the price for a light breakfast was 17euro. That's a bit much. For the price of the room there could be some extra amenities, like facial tissue. just some little extras."

"My wife, our 4-year-old daughter and I stayed at Catalonia Avinyó for three nights in September while visiting Barcelona from Toronto. Overall, we had a great experience. The hotel is right in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. The lobby was clean and had a nice fresh smell. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We arrived early after our flight, and they were very accommodating with our request for an early check-in and got us into the room as soon as it was available. Our room was spacious and clean, with a large bed and a separate single bed for our daughter. The only area we felt could use an upgrade was the bathroom, especially the bathtub. The rooftop has a small pool and sitting area with some nice views of the city. Our daughter really enjoyed the pool. The location is probably the best part. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés and shops within walking distance, and you really get a nice feel for the Gothic Quarter. There is also a supermarket right across from the hotel, which was extremely convenient for water, drinks, snacks and other groceries. We mostly walked or used taxis to get around Barcelona. If visiting again, I would also consider a hop-on hop-off bus to explore the city and save on taxi rides. Overall, a clean, comfortable and very conveniently located hotel. We would happily stay here again!"

"This hotel was in an excellent location. The breakfast was great with lots of options. Very clean and modern, updated rooms and bathrooms. Staff were all so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Beds were a little hard but common in Europe. Would definitely recommend and stay here again."

"Had a lovely stay at Sixties hotel. Good selection at breakfast. There were some issues with wifi. Room was clean and bed was huge. Balcony was small but lovely. Staff couldn’t be more helpful and allowed us to leave our luggage in the morning so we could explore Barcelona on our first day."
