"While the old world charm of this hotel is delightful, the noise and clanging of doors, moving furniture above us and trucks in the street directly below really dampened the experience. If you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you. Also, be sure to take a proper taxi if you are being dropped off as Uber and Bolt can only get so close to the hotel and we ended up with a 12 minute walk through cobblestones with luggage. Once there, it is a beautiful location right at the Palais and so wonderful for all the restaurants and bars. The rooms have very few amenities. No coffee, robes or even drinking glasses. We would have expected a bit more for this proximity to the Palais. Staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful."

"One of the best hotels we have stayed at in France hands down. It’s perfectly situated in the village and a quick drive over the bridge to Avignon and a close drive to other small villages (though there is plenty to do in Villeneuve). The staff is exceptionally professional and helpful. The bed is comfortable (classic room with courtyard view) and overall the room is delightfully cozy. We will start our journey there next time we visit the country. The hotel is exactly what you would imagine for a trip to Provence."

"The room was lovely, of good size, good A/C, bathroom, the kitchenette incredibly well appointed - everything as shown in the photographs or better. There is a common living area and a garden which would be great to hang out in if travelling with a group, family or another couple. The town is beautiful. A wonderful respite from busy Avignon. We had a car and it was easy to drive to one of the parking lots on the Avignon side. We devoted time to exploring Villeneuve and loved it. One piece of advice to guests - food markets close early so depending on your time of arrival I would recommend shopping for what you may need the first morning for breakfast or other snacks. There is a Nespresso machine in the room and pods are supplied. Lastly, the hostess is a very nice person."

"From the front desk gentleman who helped us with our rental car, to check in and hotel staff, helpful and very attentive The facility is gorgeous and our room was lovely and the hotel staff was wonderful and professional. I do have some criticism (with the high rating of the hotel) about the kitchen and bar wait staff at the cafe (lunch) and (breakfast). Some seemed inexperienced and didn't know entirely how to service a room of patrons. I think the restaurant, breakfast and bar could use a "captain" to give the young staff some training on how to service guests while emphasizing details. we did not eat dinner in the formal dining room which seemed to have pro staff. I observed guests not happy while we ate breakfast and a bit frustrated. We asked repeatedly for coffee and other items. While the staff seemed quite busy re-filling up the buffet, some be sent to turn their attention at times on the guests, and better prioritized and that may just be training, circling back and seeing what guests may need. Some guests were forgotten in the outdoor section and came in twice to remind. Other guests were left trying to flag down the staff and remind them they had ordered something. The one young girl at lunch out side stacked all the dirty dishes on our table twice while clearing the food and generally seemed to lack confidence on how to serve the lunch and wine properly. But, we loved the hotel and this can be easily fixed- we will return. thank you"
