The cottage was perfect for our group of three adults, providing us with two double bedrooms, both with ensuite facilities. The cottage was clean, warm and well equipped for our stay and the location was fantastic for walks on Hadrians Wall and only a fifteen minute drive to Hexham. The owner was very accommodating to our needs and generously provided a welcome pack of essentials plus a homemade cake. The owner's website also had a lot of useful information. We would certainly recommend Shepherd's Retreat to anyone visiting the area."
