"We stayed here over the weekend and had a really great experience overall. The location was super convenient and made it easy to get around and enjoy everything nearby. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was especially comfortable, which made a big difference after a long day out. The hotel itself felt well-kept and welcoming. Staff were friendly and helpful, which always stands out and makes the experience better. "Staff was excellent and super friendly! My only challenges were the elevators were not functioning when we first arrived, parking was pretty pricey, and there was some hair on our headboard in our room. Other than those minor things, the hotel staff was great the hotel itself was lovely!"

"We love the Royal York. Paul at the first desk was an absolute angel. We arrived early and he had a room for us. It was my daughter’s birthday and he had sweets and drinks sent up. He was incredible. This hotel, with its history, staff and ambience makes you feel like royalty. We love it here and always go back. Make sure you get a drink at the Library as well. Highly recommend"

"This was my second stay at this hotel. Our room was lovely, the staff were incredibly friendly, and our meals were delicious! Our beds were super comfy; I love their linens and pillows! I do wish, however, that the beds had top-sheets instead of comforters only. But this is a pretty minor complaint."

"Excellent location. Beautiful old house. I felt very safe even though we were in central Toronto. Lots of good restaurants and other amenities around. I ended up in a room in the basement and I could feel/hear the subway going underneath or very nearby on a regular basis. Streetcars after subway hours. It didn't bother me too much, but I did have to wear ear plugs. I think that is the only negative in this great budget friendly hotel."
