"This was an okay place to stay. Not fantastic, not terrible. Travellers should be aware that there are no elevators, no a/c, and limited electrical outlets in the suite to plug in your devices for charging. The suite we had was in the cottage next to the main building, and although it was very roomy and comfortable, it is old and worn in some places, and I found it very warm in the suite, The windows open for cooling, but there are no screens, so take your chances. The price is very good (especially in the off season), the staff are great, and the location is wonderful…very quiet, and close to trails and parks. Did not use the pub or restaurant, so no opinion about those. Free surface level parking. Coffee in the morning in the lobby was excellent. "

"Had an awesome stay at the Victoria Regent Waterfront Hotel & Suites. The place was super clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were big and comfortable with a great vibe. Honestly a wicked spot right on the water, I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Victoria."

"Unique little hotel in a great location. We loved the cathedral ceiling in our room, the balcony and the renovated bathroom was wonderful. The hot breakfast was one of the highlights of each of the four days we were at the Embassy. I suggest allowing hotel guests to take small things like tea bags, fruit and muffins up to their rooms. It feels a bit like guests are policed by the kitchen/wait staff at breakfast."

"This a beautiful property, we mostly enjoyed our stay. However we were disappointed on our first night as we were assigned a room with a lot of street noise, as a result we got no sleep! Additionally the bathroom was tiny and very outdated, not what you'd expect from a 5 star establishment. I gathered that small bathrooms seem to be an overall theme throughout the hotel. On the second night we changed rooms and had a much better experience (with a slightly bigger bathroom and no street noise). "

From the start, the staff were incredible—they not only remembered our anniversary but also surprised us with a quiet, spacious room that was perfect for the occasion. The personalized congratulatory message and the warm greetings whenever we passed by made us feel so welcomed. They even provided a bottle of wine, which allowed us to have a beautiful, romantic evening. This level of hospitality is something we haven’t experienced at any other hotel before. We are so grateful for everything and will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Victoria. A huge thank you to the entire team!"
