"It’s an older property, downmarket of most Doubletrees. Small cramped rooms with bath door opening directly to the bed. It is however, not close to cheap. And the Fatal Flaw: it is on literally the loudest corner on the island, a walled-in tunnel of sound, with a bus stop in front and lots of truck traffic. This plus windows that sound insulate nothing. Horrible. It’s like being on the sidewalk… and when I reported how bad it was, I was reminded that my room right on the street…. Well, thanks."

"This was the third time staying here and there wont be a Fourth. Being put on the 1st floor AT THE BUSIEST Part of the Hotel In Front Main Street??... and seems the Hotel was managed allot better than it is now. I was born and raised in Victoria so will make sure a advise my friends to Suggest another location to their guests when coming to visit. We thought we had a For Sure spot here but apparently the world is changing everywhere, and for the AMOUNT paid, Was Expecting A Stay At The Same Level But Far From It. Cheers."

"I usually do not write long review. Due to my job, I've travelled a lot. This one was the second hotel from this kind, I experienced once in New Zealand in a remote area in South Island. They changed an old luxury house to Bed and Breakfast at there. This one was interesting, too. I had this chance to talk with the first owner. Very cool gentlemen. It is another type of hotel actually. You can't see any staff, but everything is in order, clean and the neighbourhood is awesome. It is very like the old school Bed and Breakfast location. I definitely recommend if you want to stay in Victoria, try this. You will see many unusual things (in good way) start from the infront door. "

"If you’re looking for a nice hotel in downtown Victoria, this is the place to stay. Newly renovated rooms super comfortable bed Nespresso machine a fridge. The staff are a fantastic and most have been there for 10+ years. The gym has everything you need while away. The pool was fun, but did have a very strong chlorine smell. We loved the happy hour pricing at the bar every day and the restaurant is great too."
