Winter deal! Delightful 3-4 bed one floor, 3 baths, fireplace

"We get together with family friends annually and this place was a great setting all around. We made great use of the screened in porch, the outdoor spaces (kids loved playing baseball out back) and the large kitchen. The final bedrooms are through an unfinished basement then through a door and down some stairs - so fairly far away.. This downstairs area was good for some of the older kids. We also LOVED the piano and had some wonderful sing along memories made! We did miss a few amenities we usually associate with VRBOs - dish soap; some hand soap in several bathrooms; sufficient toilet paper for our stay (several bathrooms only had a half roll and there were no extras in the home); paper towels; cooking oil...with that said we brought a few of these to the host's attention and he was quickly responsive and willing to buy them and bring them out. We just opted to purchase our own but might be worth bringing these or clarifying before you show up if these are things you don't usually bring like us. Also - a location note - we'd hoped to put in kayaks and SUPs in the nearby marina or behind the house. There is definitely no access behind the house and the marina staff were not friendly to us when trying to launch our kayaks. Overall small things in the scheme of things though and we had such a wonderful time! Would return - great value & location!"

"This lake house far exceeded our expectations! The house is beautifully located right at the water's edge with beautiful views from practically every room in the home. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. This was the perfect location for our family vacay!"

"We had a lovely time at the beach. Beach chairs and towels provided. Loved that we could bring our small dog. We unfortunately only had AC in one back upstairs bedroom so there were a couple warm afternoons/evenings where the downstairs was 80 degrees. Overall a great week would return."

"The kitchen was spacious and very well stocked. It has a very nice dining table set with six chairs and lovely views from the kitchen windows. The shared balcony is quite pleasant overlooking the chicken coops that shelter several chickens.The one bathroom is quite small with very little room to put toiletries and the shower fixture takes getting used to.The beds are very comfortable for all ages.It is very quiet and in a good location next to the river and an easy walk downtown."

"Came up for a wedding in Gloucester, so Essex was a perfect place to stay. The whole unit was very clean and spacious. Had a full kitchen and full size fridge which was very helpful. Check-in was very easy and check out too. The unit is connected to another unit so you could hear others but nothing out of the ordinary! Enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if back in the area!"

"This was an older New England home with all the character one has. The property had all the things a home could possibly need. Kitchen, bathroom all fully stocked with necessities. Amenities available such as washer, dryer, games, chairs etc. A banana bread was left by the host which was a cute touch. The home was clean & comfortable. Thanks for hosting a great stay."
