"The Fourviere Lyon was a total surprise for us. Upon arrival, we found a high quality hotel created from an abandoned convent built in mid 1800's. The structure is built in a square with an enclosed courtyard which offers a peaceful, walkable area for the patrons. Surrounding the hotel are ancient ruins of a Roman arena. Lots of history here! "
"Pleasant surprise throughout the stay, right from the check in all the way to check out. Staffs are amazingly friendly and accommodating. Hotel's location is like second to none with the river behind and very cute street full of shops and eatery just within couple minute walk out of the gate. Breakfast was also amazing. It says four star hotel but easily one of the better ones in the category. "

"The bedroom is small but well appointed. I loved the form mattress and got a good nightโs sleep. The ambiance is tranquil and the reception smelled great. Best of all was Kareem whose welcome and help made the stay so pleasant. When we found that our room was just beneath the rooftop bar and subject to late night noise, Kareem immediately changed our room with no fuss. We never made it to the rooftop bar and the many bad reviews it gets made it no big deal. I bet the hotel would get way better...
"The staff in the lobby was very cheerful as well as being quite helpful. Our room was large and had a lovely view of the square and fountain. The hotel is located only a short walk from Vieux Lyon with its many sights and wonderful dining options!"
