"I looked at reviews before staying here. Very disappointing!! The AC didn’t work, we were sweating all night in the room. No amenities at the hotel. Very base level accommodation. I was shocked and disappointed by the hotel I booked! Do not believe the reviews. I’d never stay here again "

"Wallpaper falling off walls. Bathroom was clean. Toilet paper roll falling off the wall and not functional. TV didn’t work if you were using the coffee pot. Room wasn’t cleaned until we asked. Amenities and parking were $20/day even if you didn’t use them. Unfortunate because it could have been a good stay in an older eclectic building. Staff was very nice when notified though- although they just said there was nothing they could do about it as we booked through hotels.com. Hotels.com should vet their places better and not book out trash. "

"The Opera House Hotel is a gem in the south Bronx. Check in was very smooth and we were given a sheet explaining how everything "works" at the hotel. I can't emphasize enough how clean the property was. I couldn't say the same for the sidewalks outside, but inside was very impressive. Even the elevators and the stairwells were spotless. We thought the elevator was a bit sluggish, but got the job done. The room was also very clean and tidy. We thought the bulbs in the lamps on either side of the bed were fairly dim, but we preferred them to the overhead light. One of the switches was very loose and you had to hold the bulb still to turn the switch. Likewise, the desklamp had no bulb in it. Had we spent more time in the room we would have probably asked about a new bulb for that fixture. Unlike most hotels we've stayed at, there were no complimentary containers of shampoo or lotion. The shower in the bathroom was very modern and clean. There were soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers in the shower. The closet in the room was nice and big, with hangers, but there was no hair dryer or iron/ironing board in the room. The bed was comfortable but the laarge pillows were fairly solid and not the most comfortable to us. We felt it was fairly warm in the room, even though outside temps were in the 50s and 60s. We ended up running the AC to keep the room comfortable. We were happy with our stay and will probably stay there again on our next visit to our son's family."

"The staff at the Hampton Inn & Suites Teaneck/Glenpointe are exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The breakfast team, in particular, makes the experience memorable. Senaida stands out for her kindness and attentiveness—she truly represents what hospitality is all about. I have no complaints about the facilities, and the location is excellent, with easy access to Manhattan (about a 20-minute bus ride). If you want to experience the kind of genuine hospitality that feels harder to find these days, this is definitely a place worth staying."
