"We had a wonderfully relaxing, quiet getaway. The host was incredibly accommodating and kind, responding to every question within hours. Although the check-in email warned that GPS might lead to the wrong entrance, we found it took us directly to the correct one without any issues. The sunset we witnessed was one of the most beautiful we've ever seen and having access to a private beach for kayaking and a pier for fishing was fantastic, especially for my son.However, some maintenance and cleaning details need to be addressed. Just to name a few: the screen in the master bedroom was torn and despite blocking it with a towel, a large number of lake bugs got into the room. The main balcony had a lot of bug debris and cobwebs and housekeeping should pay a bit closer attention to wiping down kitchen cabinet doors and bathroom walls, as well as checking lightbulbs and remote batteries. Additionally, we had to enter the access code TWICE each time we used the door. Since we visited during the week, many of the restaurants listed in the welcome packet were either closed or out of business. (Future guests may want to keep in mind that the area is quite isolated, with major supermarkets a significant drive away.) These really were minor issues in the grand scheme of things and they wouldn't stop us from returning. I'd love to connect with the host privately to share more details, because addressing these small things would easily have turned a great stay into a remarkable one!"
